2019 - Workshop in China, Interior Architecture

1st Year of Master's Degree in Interior Design

Just like every year for more than 10 years now, 1st year students in Master's Degree in Interior Design were invited by students from the Beijing University of Technology College of Arts from May 13 to 19, 2019.

This workshop was organised by M. Zhaon, architect and head of the architecture department at the Beijing College of Arts, and by M. Frédéric Dupressoir, architect, and Marie Begel, set designer, both head teachers for the Master's Degree of Interior Design Architect at Autograf.

Our students assignment: designing a small multi-purpose studio apartment in the Jijiamiao industrial zone. For three days, students prepared their project before presenting it to a jury made up of teachers, professionals as well as the apartment owner.

This international workshop aimed at inviting Autograf students to work with a team of young Chinese students. Communication was carried out in English in a friendly and yet very professional atmosphere. This yearly international exchange is extremely rewarding for the students, both on a human and professional level. It's also the opportunity to discover some aspects of the Chinese way of life and tradtional history.

After the final project presentation, teachers at the Beijing University of Technology College of Arts had planned a tour of the Great China Wall, a must-see, with Chinese students on Thursday 16th May. A perfect moment of discovery and togetherness to conclude this workshop!
