Syllabus

Programme of the Master’s Degree in Sustainable Design Management

This new transdisciplinary programme is based on both theoretical and practical knowledge. It’s also focused on creativity and skills to manage teamwork – praising collective minds.

Collaborative methods of pooling resources and know-how allow students to design, implement and monitor relevant and innovative eco-responsible projects.
Most of the classes are given through interactive workshops according to the credo « Learning by Doing ». Henceforward, students cowork in groups, for team projects, share their skills and knowledge, to help each other for a better food for thought.
This group work is based on the creation of collective minds’ production.
Emphasis is placed on the conception, implementation and monitoring of Global Design projects incorporating environmental issues. It works on a green approach to cutting-edge technologies, via thematic workshops and a thorough final project.

The theoretical part gives students the knowledge necessary to understand the challenges of Sustainable Development. It also provides analysis and project management tools, and allows students to acquire the intellectual maturity to tackle the complexity of environmental issues.

During the whole course, genuine innovative sustainable projects will be developped with partners (companies or key-players in the United Social Economy). Occasionally, Project-teams will be composed of students from other courses of the School (Graphic Design, Interior Design, Video Game) and from all grades. Students are also invited and encouraged in participating in team contests.
