10th edition of the Interior Architecture workshop with the Beijing College of Arts.

Every year for 10 years, we organise a student exchange between students in first year of Master's Degree of Interior Designer Architect and the Beijing College of Arts. 2019 was no exception and from April 1 to 5, Autograf welcomed a group of Chinese students.

The Beijing College of Arts visiting Autograf!

On the agenda this year: students had to design a temporary small building used for cultural activities for amateurs: drama, music, dancing and performances. The design of the building had to take inspiration from the Cubist movement, in particular the works of Picasso, Braque and Leger.

Students worked a lot but also had time for moments of cultural exchanges, trying out French cuisine and some sightseeing. Indeed, students from Autograf and the College of Arts visited the Versailles Castle and took a dive into the French history of architecture.

The workshop was co-organised by Frédéric Depressoir and Marie Begel (head teachers of the Master's Degree of Interior Design Architect), Mrs Li Shaojun and M. Zhao, teacher, architect and head of the interior architecture department of this prestigious Chinese University.

In a few weeks' time, in May, our students will have the opportunity to travel to Beijing for the "return match". This time around, a second workshop will be organised by the Beijing College of Arts.
