2019 Interior Design Workshop
From February 18 to 22, students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design attended the Interior Design workshop.
A village in town: designing a temporary emergency shelter in Paris.
Our students' challenge during this week's workshop was to design a temporary emergency shelter, chosing one of three locations: the Paris Ordener Hall, the La Chapelle elevated metro station and a location on the Petite Ceinture in the 20th arrondissement.
They had to design the shelter as a village: with a health center, classrooms, a catering area, meeting areas, etc. and despite the emergency response character of the situation, students had to turn the shelter into a living environment, facilitating the return to a dignified life and opening out to the city.
After four and a half days of intensive work, students presented their project to a jury: statement of intent, research log, maps, 3D visuals, models, etc.
