AUTOGRAF - KAMPUS 22
Antoine Monneret, head teacher at Autograf for the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design traveled to Algiers from April 21 to 24 to run a workshop on visual identity for a class of first-year students in Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design at Kampus 22, Autograf's partner school.
Workshop in Algiers in partnership with Kampus 22, from April 21 to 24, 2019
The workshop's assignment was to design a logotype for the National Maritime Museum's cafe in Algiers and print it on various media: sign, stationery, T-shirts, etc.
The museum is located under beautiful historical ottoman vaults that were used as a shipbuilding construction hall in the past. The museum honours a well-known traditional Algerian boat: the Xebek.
The envisioned cafe would have the same name. One of the imposed constraints was for students to make sure that their creation process would refer in one way or another to this legendary three-master. The beautiful KheirHeddine vaults were also used as a source of inspiration.
These were four intensive, very friendly days of work, full of exchanges, thus generating numerous and varied projects. These aspiring designers showed their attentiveness, their motivation, their technical and creative skill, which bodes well for the fugure generation of Algerian Designers!
