Beijing 2018
Throwback to the workshop in Beijing
Just like every year for 9 years now, 1st year students in Master's Degree of Interior Designer Architect, students in Bachelor's Degree in Global Sustainable Design and 1st year students in Master's Degree of Art Director in Graphic Design traveled to Beijing to meet with students from the Beijing University of Technology College of Arts.
This workshop was organised by M. Zhao, architect and head of the architecture department at the Beijing College of Arts, and by M. Frédéric Dupressoir, architect, and Marie Begel, set designer, both head teachers for the Master's Degree of Interior Design Architect at Autograf.
Our students had to refurbish an old decomissioned factory and turn it into an office space for companies working in new technologies R&D. For three days, students worked on their projects before presenting them to a jury of teachers, professionals and the client himself.
It was an opportunity for our students to immerse themselves into a truly enlightening international professional situation. A situation they'll find themselves into later on as a working professional. Talking in English, exchanging on the French and Chinese perspectives, this workshop was a cultural, professional and humane experience.
Congratulations to all students and in particular to the winners of the competition for their commitment and their teamwork!
