Zéro Déchet (Zéro Waste) Design Competition - Our students at work
Every year since 2012, Syctom has organised the Design Zero Waste competition open to students in design, environmental sciences, engineering and applied arts. The aim of the competition is to encourage students’s reflection on the subject of eco-design and waste prevention through the development of innovative and sustainable goods or services.
This year, the 9th edition of this competition benefits from the sponsorship of the designer Mathieu Lehanneur, as well as a partnership with the association « Réseau vrac ». Students and young graduates are invited to invent goods or services to develop bulk sales and purchasing.
The aim is to raise awareness and mobilise tomorrow's designers to take into account environmental impact in the creative process.
Participants can work on one of the following 4 areas: hardware, hygiene and maintenance, seeds and germs for individuals, food products.
Our design and eco-responsible design students taking part in the workshop have formed two teams, one currently working on a prototype silo mechanism, the other on a bag system for transporting bulk.
Thanks to the partnership between Autograf and the Fablab Simplon, which has an eco-responsible centre located 5 minutes from our premises, our students following the eco-responsible enrichment course have the opportunity to design their project in an exceptional and warm setting with high-tech and ecological equipment at their disposal.
Let's discover together, some pictures of the beginning of their projects!
